Gimp 2.8 Review

April 20, 2012
I had recently written about the anticipated release of Gimp 2.8 which brings revolutionary changes to the Gimp user interface and lots more under the hood. However, as of now, if you want to download and try Gimp 2.8 you have to do one of the two things, namely -

  1. Compile it yourself by downloading the source code from the Gimp website, or
  2. Download the latest beta release of Fedora 17.

A fellow blogger has done just that. He downloaded the Fedora 17 beta release and installed Gimp 2.8 from its repositories. Later, he wrote a nice review of Gimp 2.8 giving his opinion.

Do read the review.
