Red Hat Donates $100,000 to Promote Open Source

Red Hat recently became the first open source company that could garner one billion US dollars in annual revenue. To celebrate this new milestone, Red Hat is offering $100,000 US dollars to the future of open source.


The money will be divided amongst 4 open source promoters namely -

  1. Creative Commons - www.creativecommons.org
  2. Electronic Frontier Foundation - EFF.org
  3. Software Freedom Law Center - softwarefreedom.org, and
  4. UNICEF Innovation Labs - kosovoinnovations.org/w/
