Mutt is a free email client that you can run in your terminal. However, some people who would like to see more development take place in Mutt find the Mutt developers too conservative and not receptive to changes.
Karel Zak thinks Mutt needs more features such as full text search, tags, virtual folders, gmail-like archive, sidebar and so on. Keeping this in mind, he has forked the Mutt project and incorporated changes into it. He has named it Mutt-kz.
