Download Ubuntu 11.04 aka Natty Narwal

Ubuntu 11.04 code named Natty Narwhal has been released. Natty (11.04) brings a new desktop experience through the Unity project. Unity delivers a consistent user experience for the desktop and netbook users by redesigning the desktop and incorporating new technologies thus optimizing the experience for touch, consistency and collaboration.

Upgrade Path For Ubuntu 10.10 Users

Before upgrading though, please remember that Ubuntu 10.04 is a LTS (Long Term Support) release while Ubuntu 11.04 is not. So if you are running Ubuntu on your work machine, then you are better off with Ubuntu 10.04.

If however, Ubuntu 10.04/10.10 is on your home machine, then jump right in and start the upgrade.

Alternately, you can also download an ISO of Ubuntu 11.04 from the official site and do a fresh install on your machine.
